mikayel_abazyan Very soon I will loose count of how many times the album has been played from A to Z in my player, but I am on my 7th play now, and it is still growing on me. I realized how mature they have become, how deeply they think out the details in both lyrics and instrumentation, how passionate they do what they love. And they still have area to improve. I strongly believe that Martina's vocal potential has not yet fully revealed and the vocal palette has many unused colours and semi-tones. Favorite track: Music That Doesn't Exist.

"A colourful pastiche of this and that, a few different worlds that in some ways met".

This is our third album, if we don't count our Christmas EP, otherwise it would be the fourth in one year and a half!
We started working on this in December 2017, and most of the songs were written by March-April 2018. Then the recording sessions got delayed, a few more new ideas were considered (and one of them found its place on the album, making it longer than planned), and we finally finished recording at the end of July, with a very intense 2 days of vocal sessions.
Then another very intense week of mixing and mastering followed and here it is! Again, everything has been written, played, performed, produced, mixed and mastered completely by us.

We are very proud of the result, and in fact we think that this may well be our biggest musical achievement up to now. This is not a concept album, but you may find some recurring themes here and there: like a passionate critique to the music business or the (lack of) communication and debate skills in today's internet era.

Musically there is a lot going on: every song is meant to stand on his own for the first time. No ouverture, no links, every track is his own beast. That means we've explored an even wider variety of styles and sounds: from 60's Pop to Progressive Rock (yes, there is a suite and quite a bit of Mellotron), from Psychedelic music to Hard Rock, all with a theatrical feel and an ever-changing structure, even in the (apparently) simpler songs. So it's all very "dense", and if you listen to just one minute of a song, you haven't heard everything yet!

The artwork is meant to be in contrast with everything else we have done, and also with today's tendency to use colourless and cold artworks on new albums, expecially in the progressive rock world. So it represents a stylistic change in what we do, and a position of further distance from most of today's music. It's colourful, happy, simple, and can proudly be defined as Pop Art, much like the album itself.

Why "The Drop"? The answer is probably in the song A Drop In The Ocean", because, amongst other things, that's what this album is: a drop in the ocean.
