mikayel_abazyan I can't help it - I want to see S&M playing live with a band. I believe there will be a few mature musicians in the blessed Italy who could form a band to play this beautiful and intelligent music.

about

This is the second volume of a series of recordings done live at home. In the rare occasions in which we get to be both physically in the same place, we usually try to record some music for fun, with no rehearsals whatsoever. Most times we play cover versions, but for these two "Live At Home Studio" volumes we decided to try to play some of our songs live with just piano and voice.

Since our music is always recorded with us being in two different places pretty far away from each other, we never play our music together in our "studio" albums. Add to that the use of multiple overdubs, necessary for full band arrangements done by just one musician, and you can understand how hard of a process it can be to rearrange those songs with just one instrument and a voice. On the other hand, most of those songs actually started on the piano, so in some cases it's just a process of stripping down the arrangements.

In this specific case, after a first volume dedicated to the two closing tracks of Stages, we went back to our first album Favete Linguis. We've chosen two songs that kind of represent our multiple inspirations. The Highest Gates In The Deepest Dephts was fairly easy and fun to do, while Digital Rain was obviously a bit more complex. But we tried our best with no rehearsals, and whether we succeded in doing something listenable or not, is up to your (hopefully kind) judgement.
